Vince Young Leads Eagles Past Giants

They did it!!! The Eagles finally were able to close out a game this year! They beat the rival New York Giants 17-10 with players that most people hardly even knew existed. The charge was led by backup Quarterback Vince Young, Riley Cooper, and Chad Hall.

Of course there were the 'usual suspects' that contributed like Desean Jackson, and Lesean Mccoy, but one player played with a 'chip on his shoulder' in this game. Steve Smith was another prized free agent that the Eagles acquired in the offseason. Smith spent his first couple seasons with the Giants before signing with the Eagles. During his time in New York, he set team records in receptions (107), was named to the 2009 Pro Bowl, and won a Super Bowl title. He scored his first touchdown of the season in the second quarter against his former team.

The win brings the Eagles to a record of 4-6, still needing to 'run the table' for the rest of the season if they want any chance at making the postseason. And the schedule doesn't get any easier with the New England Patriots coming into town. This will be a rematch of Super Bowl 39, in which the Patriots defeated the Eagles 24-21. Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself and the Eagles pull out a 'W'!

EAGLES: 31

PATRIOTS: 28
